VISTA Table Talks Mini Series, Episode #1 - Starting SBYD Organizations and Brands

The VISTA Table Talks Mini Series is a three part virtual series featuring VISTA members from the Up2Us Summer VISTA Program. Each part will showcase different summer VISTAs and their experiences as brand founders, DACA recipients from immigrant families and women leaders in sports. The goal of the Summer VISTA program is to provide organizations with short term capacity building AmeriCorps members to support organizations' mission to alleviate poverty over a nine week summer term.

In the first of three parts, we’re joined by Up2Us Sports Summer VISTA Carlyn (Karl-Lyn) founder of the brand Temp SFC and Paul Caccamo founder and CEO of Up2Us Sports to discuss the ins and out of starting a brand or non-profit. They’ll dive into the challenges and the inspiration they had to start the process and how they got to where they are today. The conversation is led by Up2Us Sports Summer Cohort leader, Alannah Scardino.

The episode will air live on the Up2Us VISTA IGTV Channel on Wednesday, August 18th at 12pm ET. It will also stream on the Up2Us Sports Spotify channel.
