On Monday, January 18th, Up2Us Sports hosted a virtual event for MLK Day of Service. Nearly ten years after Martin Luther King Jr. Day signed into law as a federal holiday, it was officially established as a national day of service by Congress in 1994. It is observed as “a day on, not a day off” and is the only federal holiday nationally recognized as a day of service. This day of service is led by AmeriCorps, who also funds our Up2Us Sports Coach Program.
