US Soccer Foundation's Urban Soccer Symposium

  • Washington Marriott Georgetown & Online 1221 22nd Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20037 United States (map)

Join us at the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s Urban Soccer Symposium in March to learn more, network, and share best practices to make play equity for all a reality in your community. The Symposium is a unique space for attendees to connect, recharge, and revitalize their WHY while connecting with other leaders in the field. It will be a hybrid event, taking place in Washington, DC and online.

On Friday, March 25th from 4:30pm-6:00pm EST, Up2Us Sports training team staff Thomas Padro and Marysol Flores will be presenting a Trauma-Sensitive Coaching Skills Workshop. Here’s a brief description:

Because of their understanding of how the brain works, trauma-sensitive coaches believe in a growth mindset: that all people can improve and grow throughout their lives and are not set in their abilities. This session introduces core skills that make it possible for coaches to operationalize this knowledge with young people. This session also includes a time of reflection with personalized takeaways to implement into programming.
