VISTA Table Talk is a virtual series hosted by Up2Us Sports where we provide an opportunity for our VISTA members to come together to discuss the work they’re doing and the impact their organizations are making. The goal of VISTA is to provide organizations with capacity building AmeriCorps members to support organizations' mission to alleviate poverty.
This week for episode 4, the discussion will be centered around the importance of adaptive sports. Three of our AmeriCorps VISTAs from Angel City Sports, KEEN and Three River Rowing will speak about adaptive sports, how their programs work, the youth they work with, and the opportunities and challenges adaptive athletes face. The conversation will be led by Julia Ray, Programs Director at Move United, where she has been instrumental in getting individuals with disabilities, including youth and wounded warriors involved in adaptive sports.
The episode will air live on the Up2Us VISTA IGTV Channel on Friday, May 28th at 12pm ET.
