Up2Us Sports Celebrates A Decade of Creating Change Through Sport

On January 12, 2020, we celebrate 10 years of official nonprofit status. While the initial groundwork for the organization began in 2008 when Founder & CEO Paul Caccamo received funding to run the first sports-based youth development conferences in major U.S. cities - which would later become the regional hubs for Up2Us Sports - our effective date of nonprofit exemption granted by the Internal Revenue Service was January 12, 2010.

In 10 years we have:

  2. Expanded our staff presence to 9 cities

  3. Placed 2,894 coaches in 471 host site organizations

  4. Served 525,517 youth

  5. Conducted 612 training events

  6. Spent 3,528 hours training

  7. Trained 22,737 people

  8. Placed 241 AmeriCorps VISTA service members across 75 host site organizations

  9. Facilitated the investment of 1,500,000+ hours of service into the community

  10. Worked with hundreds of sponsors and thousands of donors to make 10 years possible!

Throughout 2020 we will be commemorating our 10th Anniversary with year-long activations, powerful content, and big commitments to future impact with our partners. We could not have made it this far and made this deep of an impact without you - our coaches, host sites, member organizations, staff, ambassadors, donors and sponsors. We look forward to continuing to serve you, invest in you and grow our impact in order to continue fulfilling our mission to engage, train and support sports coaches to transform youth, programs and communities.
