#Up2UsThanks

At Up2Us Sports we are thankful for all of the sponsors who make our work possible. Because of your gifts, we are able to train coaches to be mentors and place them in communities where kids need them the most.

This week, we want to highlight some of the people and local sponsors that have helped us grow and expand to new communities in the last year.

CHICAGO

Prince Charitable Trusts continues to support our efforts to grow sports-based youth development in Chicago.

The Chicago White Sox Community Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund has supported our coach program, and their specific focus on youth health and wellness helps kids in Chicago's most under-resourced communities.

We would also like to thank ESPN for their ongoing support of our veteran program. In the last year their help has allowed us to expand Operation Coach to Chicago. Thanks to their support, we have placed over 100 veteran coaches.

Northern California

Our friends at Work for Warriors (specifically Bob Gagnon) and the Community College Veteran Network (Daniel Avegalio and Robert Heryford) have been a great help with recruiting veterans to participate in the first cohort of coaches in northern California.

The Sacramento Kings and the Sacramento Mayor's Office have been instrumental in connecting us to partners and helping us get off the ground in Sacramento.

NEW ORLEANS

Volunteer Louisiana and the GPOA Foundation have made it possible for us to train and place coaches in communities in New Orleans.

We are looking forward to our MLK Day of Play on 1/15 and would like to thank Jimmy John's for being our initial food sponsor for the event.

NYC

Thank you to J. Agresta and the rest of our friends at Benzel-Busch in Englewood, NJ. Their support has provided football coaches for the last three years to the Englewood Jr. Raiders.

LOS ANGELES

Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, from the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, has provided financial support for the training we provide to probation officers.

US Bank has provided a program support grant that allows us to continue supporting the many great coaches serving in southern California.
